Right now, I intend to use it mostly for exploring the Carolina shoreline.
My ONLY complaint right now is one of the fishing rod hole covers refuses to stay in the hole (see photo). Is there any way to replace this cover?
Haven’t been able to get it to the lake yet, still a bit chilly. However, excited with craft and it arrived in 100% perfect position.
I am a bit older, and I know I cannot get this up over my head to put on top of my car myself so I will have to find another way to get it to the lake.
Just want to let anybody know that who is wondering. I can easily lift it into the trunk of my car, in any case. Thinking may have to get an SUV!
This small kayak is just perfect for my 40lb dog and me. Two dry storage cubbies are a plus.
They are reasonably large and complete for all those extras you tend to throw in a dry bag.
Thus frees up legroom since you have to leave the back storage for the cooler. Bonus it arrived in about one week so was able to get back on the water asap.
Kayak is excellent so far, seat not so much. One strap broke while putting it concurrently.
The next one broke half hour into my first tour, and a third broke while tending back, reaching into my pocket.
It supposed to rate for 350 pounds. I weigh only 150, could only understand what would happen if someone considering 300 sat in this seat.
My advice buys an aftermarket seat with your purchase or buys a different kayak.
We bought two Vibe Skipjack 90 kayaks. Our maiden voyage today was great.
They performed every bit as good as they described. Easy to launch and handled well in the wind in open water.
The seats that came with them are adjustable for personal comfort. The paddle that came with has three positions and functioned very well.
We are long-time canoers, and these are our first kayaks. We couldn’t be happier.
